Joan Esnayra, Ph.D.

Joan Esnayra, Ph.D., based in Sandpoint, ID, has 18 years of successful grant writing experience with a variety of funders, including federal, provincial (Canadian), and private/corporate foundations. Joan holds a Ph.D. in Biology (Genetics) from the University of California San Diego and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington, Seattle. Joan has 10 years of experience in Nonprofit Organization Capacity-Building, Fundraising and Management. She is an experienced Project Manager with 30 years of experience working in scientific research environments and 15 years of experience in Mental Health and Disability Advocacy at federal, state, and local levels. Joan has had successful experience writing Department of Defense (DoD); National Institutes of Health (NIH); and British Columbia Provincial Government (Canada) grants. In her free time, she enjoys Wilderness Homesteading, raising livestock, and gardening.
