Education: Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston; postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota; Certificate in Organizational and Professional Communication, with high distinction, from the University of Minnesota; Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary

Experience: Linda Raab, Ph.D., works as a Grant Services Consultant at Innovative Funding Partners. She has 14 years of experience writing and editing scientific and technical documents for both print and online media, with significant experience communicating to an academic audience.

Linda is certified as an Editor in the Life Sciences by the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences, and is an author’s editor for scientific and medical manuscripts and research proposals.

Linda has more than 15 years of experience in a research university setting, both as a research scientist and within research administration. She spent nine years performing biomedical research at the University of Minnesota Medical School. As a scientist, she wrote proposals to foundations and federal agencies and manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals.

Linda worked on an electronic grants management initiative at the University of Minnesota, serving as technical writer and communications coordinator for the software development team that created and supported a Web-based system for proposal and research forms preparation. She also managed Web communication strategies and the development of new Web tools for the university’s vice president for research.
